Why give to Clifford PTO?
Rhythm & Moves
Rhythm & Moves provides a unique music and physical education curriculum that motivates students by given them opportunities for self-direction and responsibility. This program benefits students grades TK through 5th.
In an effort to continue to provide technology for all of our students and support school curriculum, Clifford PTO provides funds to purchase Chromebooks for classroom use.
Science from Scientists
Classroom Programs (MSI & other)
Marine Science Institute provides engaging and interactive hands-on adventures with San Francisco Bay Area marine life. Led by a team of expert marine science educators, these experiences impact students of all ages, inspiring respect and stewardship for the marine environment.
Each teacher at Clifford Elementary receives a $200.00 stipend for school supplies for their classrooms to make your child’s experience even better.
Middle School Programs
Healthy Cities Tutoring helps kids who struggle to succeed in school. Community volunteers provide one-one-one tutoring and mentoring for children to improve their academic performance, engagement in learning and self-esteem. At Clifford, teachers identify students that would benefit from this program and refer them to the program coordinators. Volunteer tutors are always welcome.
Each year, Clifford PTO gives $5000 to the Clifford Library to purchase books to enhance the school library.
Middle School Copier
Outdoor Ed (5th & 7th)
Art in Action
Art in Action is Clifford School’s art program for 1st grade through 5th grade, funded by the Clifford PTO. Students learn about artists, techniques and styles. Through volunteer led classes, students have the opportunity to use different mediums (oil pastels, chalk pastels, clay, tempera paints, watercolors, charcoal, foam, printing supplies and more) to create art inspired by the piece they are studying. Clifford PTO provides funds for the curriculum for this program.
Project Cornerstone’s Asset Building Champions (ABCs) are caring adults who read books and lead discussions with students in class. Through select stories, we will help build a school-wide language for handling social-emotional and relationship issues and empower students to make good choices. Students grades K through 4th are currently benefiting from this great project. Clifford PTO provides funds for the curriculum for this program.
8th Grade Activities
Clifford PTO loves our teachers and think it is important to make sure we show appreciation throughout the year through various appreciation events. This fund helps to support the appreciation efforts.
Field Trip Transportation
The Field Trip fund does not fully fund field trips but does help classes that fall short of necessary funds to reach their goals.
